Welcome Press!

On March 3, 2006, I signed with Five Star, an imprint of Gale/Cengage Learning, to publish A Real Basket Case the first book in the Claire Hanover gift basket designer mystery series, in March, 2007. The large-print edition was released by Wheeler Publishing on January 22, 2008. On December 29, 2007, I signed my second contract with Five Star, for the sequel, To Hell in a Handbasket, which was released in May, 2009. The large-print edition was released by Kennebec Large Print in October, 2010. On August 27, 2008, I signed a contract with Virtual Tales to publish my science fiction novella, The Epsilon Eridani Alternative, in eBook, eSerial, and paperback, which was released in December, 2009.

In August, 2009, I signed a two-book contract with Midnight Ink for Deadly Currents, the first in the RM Outdoor Adventures mystery series, and a sequel. Deadly Currents was released in March, 2011, the hardcover large print was released in July, 2011, and the sequel, Wicked Eddies, was released in May, 2012. Then in April, 2010, I signed another contract with Midnight Ink for the paperback and electronic rights of the first two books in my gift basket designer mystery series and a new third book in the series. A Real Basket Case was re-released in November, 2011, To Hell in a Handbasket was re-released in November, 2012, and the new third book, A Basket of Trouble, was released in November, 2013. Finally, in December, 2011, I signed a contract with Midnight Ink for the third book in the  RM Outdoor Adventures series, Fatal Descent, that was published in June, 2013.

After completing the two 3-book series, I decided to take a break from the writing life to enjoy the active retired lifestyle in Summit County, Colorado. I enjoy downhill skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, hiking and biking in the summer, travel in the spring and fall, and volunteering year-round, including as Short Drama lead on the Program Committee of the Breckenridge Film Festival. Lewellyan Publishing closed its Midnight Ink line in August, 2019. Shortly thereafter, I signed a new publishing contract with Speaking Volumes to re-release the six books in my two mystery series in trade paperback and ebook.

The first book in her Claire Hanover series, A Real Basket Case, was released in hardcover in 2007 and was re-released in trade paperback and ebook in November, 2011. The book garnered good reviews from Booklist, Kirkus Reviews, and other national reviewers and was nominated for the 2007 Best First Novel Agatha Award. The second book in the series, To Hell in a Handbasket, was released in hardcover in 2009, also to good reviews, and was re-released in trade paperback and ebook in the fall of 2012. The third book, A Basket of Trouble, was released in November, 2013.

The first book in Beth's Rocky Mountain Outdoor Adventures series starring whitewater river ranger Mandy Tanner, Deadly Currents, was released in trade paperback and ebook in March, 2011 with good reviews from Booklist, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, the Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, and Mystery Scene, among many other reviewers. It was an Amazon bestseller and was released in hardcover large-print in July, 2011. The second book in the series, Wicked Eddies, was released in May, 2012, and was a finalist for The Rocky Award, for the best mystery written in the western United States. The third book in the series, Fatal Descent, was released in June, 2013.

Beth was an avid "river rat" in the 1980s, running whitewater rivers in the eastern US, and enjoyed reacquainting herself with that subculture while researching this series. In June, 2011, she was the parade VIP for the First in Boating on the Arkansas River (FIBArk) whitewater festival in Salida, Colorado, which is featured in Deadly Currents. Beth lives in Colorado and enjoys its many outdoor activities, including skiing and whitewater rafting.

Beth's science fiction novella, The Epsilon Eridani Alternative, was released in ebook and paperback 2009. Also, she has published nine short stories, many multiple times in various formats, including audio. She enjoys meeting with book clubs in person or via Skype or speakerphone to discuss her books.
